Coach Carrasco played for the Atlanta Braves organization from 1995-1997 and with the Kansas City Royals organization from 1998-1999. He led the Braves Rookie team with 12 HRs and 56 RBI in 1997, earned a Gold Glove playing first base, and was selected to the all-star game. In 1999 he played briefly with the Massachusetts Mad Dogs in the Northern League.
